Debut of Premium Audio Shanghai delivers thought-provoking innovation and inspiration

Shanghai, 27 September, 2024. The inaugural Premium Audio Shanghai (PAS), held from 13 – 15 September at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre, concluded last week with notable success, showcasing advancements in the integration of music and technology within the booming Chinese market. Not only did it address industry and market needs, but the conference-led event also provided a valuable stage for innovation, inspiration, and collaboration. Drawing over 1,200 visits from industry professionals and event attendees, PAS played a key role in exploring cutting-edge audio solutions – including immersive sound, music healing and smart technology – cultivating valuable business prospects across the audio industry.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt Shanghai Ltd and the Shanghai Computer Music Association (SCMA), the event positioned itself as a new focal point in the Chinese audio industry, leveraging 5G technology and artificial intelligence to facilitate dialogue and showcase unique technological capabilities from leading audio brands. Exhibiting brands such as AMS Neve, Amphion, CB Electronics, CHECKITECH, Kali Audio, McIntosh, Milab, MOGAMI, Mutec Vanguard Audio, Myburgh, Primacoustic, Radial, reProducer, REMIC, Sonus Faber, and Wes Audio presented their latest innovations, drawing admiration from industry professionals and enthusiasts alike.

Innovative solutions and industry insights spark new possibilities among music enthusiasts

Throughout the three-day show, attendees were impressed by the networking opportunities that facilitated meaningful business exchanges and discussions on the potential applications of music therapy, immersive audio technology, and other inspiring trends shaping the industry. The 2024 Global Forum on Music, Artificial Intelligence, and Health, held on 13 and 14 September, further highlighted the multifaceted role of music beyond mere aesthetic appreciation, emphasising its therapeutic and transformative capabilities.

Another notable event was the Global Conference on Spatial and Immersive Audio Technologies. Here, attendees experienced frontier technologies reshaping future audio entertainment through interactive showcases that demonstrated the industry’s innovative spirit.

NIO's in-car audio experience and test drives offered a glimpse into the future of in-vehicle entertainment through music and driving interactive experiences, highlighting the significance of high-quality audio systems in the automotive sector. Additionally, the Wellness Market complemented the music therapy theme by featuring a whole range of therapeutic goods and other stress relief products.
